MENTOR CRITERIA FOR PARTICIPATION
MENTORS SIGN UP NOW ON THE APP
Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Have completed at least 1 year of high school
Are a positive role model in your family, high school, and community.
Have a special skill, talent, or interest you would like to teach younger kids in your community.
Want to become a VarsityPrep Mentor to a younger child (5-14) and encourage positive behaviors and college readiness.
Have Parental Consent to be a VarsityPrep Mentor and receive payment for work well done.
Both Parents/Guardians are required to meet in person and exchange/confirm contact information at first training session.

STEPS TO TAKE
Head over to the app store and download the VarsityPrep App on your smartphone.
Sign Up as a Mentor
Sign up on App as a VartsityPrep Mentor.
Complete Forms (4)
Obtain VarsityPrep and parent signatures on high school Work Permit application form, submit completed form to high school, receive work permit from high school, hand work permit to site director/lead mentor at welcome to VarsityPrep meeting.
Complete I-9 Form and hand to site director/lead mentor in person, bring correct form of identification for identity and work verification; also bring completed W-4, and direct deposit forms.
Meet Site Director/Lead Mentor
Hand in all (4) completed forms to site director/lead mentor
Paychex Flex Online Account
Create Paychex account with email invite link sent from Paychex Inc, set up VP employee profile, review VP employee handbook, take online employee training, confirm direct deposit account.

Fill in all of your profile information on the profile tab in the VP App
Please verify your phone number, Paychex ID, and site director code. This is done in the App under the Identity tab.
Begin training sessions
Once VP app profile and Paychex on-boarding is complete, VarsityPrep will post Mentor Profile App for Parent and Prep viewing, messaging, and scheduling training sessions. You will be identified by your zip code, and the sport, academic subject, and fine arts talent you will share with a younger Prep.
